Ginkgo Biloba
Ginkgo biloba is a plant known to improve blood flow, memory, and cognition. It is widely used in Asia to treat a variety of medical ailments. Extracts of the ginkgo leaves have been shown to contain a number of flavonoids and terpenoids, constitutes which provide protection e.g. against cancer and heart diseases.

For decades, the chinese have believed that these plants have the ability to improve brain function. There is a lot of research and clinical evidence that daily consumption of gingko biloba improves memory, concentration, and cognition. However, not everyone responds to the gingko in the same way. Some individuals in fact have shown little or no response to gingko.
Besides memory improvement, other applications of gingko have been to improve blood circulation in the legs and hands, improve heart function and make breathing easier.
Ginkgo products are available to buy in many varieties. There are pills and even energy drinks available. The dose of gingko which is responsible for the therapeutic benefits ranges anywhere from 40mg to 200mg per day.
While the plant is generally safe, a few people do develop diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and dizziness when using Ginkgo extracts.
