Gerovital (GH3)

Gerovital is also known as GH3 and has been around for many years. The primary ingredient in Gerovital is procaine hydrochloride. Procaine hydrochloride is widely used as a fast acting local anesthetic GH 3 also contains a varied amount of benzoic acid, potassium and sodium salts- chiefly to stabilize and preserve the procaine.

GH 3 was heavily promoted in the 70s and 80s. It was widely used to for its anti-aging properties. Gerovital has always been surrounded by claims of restorative properties. Some claim that Gerovital has anti depressant abilities, while others claim that it has no medical value. The use of Gerovital as a dietary supplement has seen a great resurgence in the last decade, and Gerovital has been thoroughly endorsed by people from varied walks of life and backgrounds.

Gerovital is safe and has no toxic effects on the body. However, there have been some unverified reports that Gerovital may rapidly lower blood pressure and also cause seizures. These alleged side effects, it was later determined, were caused by contaminated fake versions of Gerovital. In clinical trials, none of harmful effects that have been ascribed to Gerovital were able to be duplicated in trial subjects.

Gerovital is currently undergoing more scientific evaluation to determine its exact benefits. What is known is that a number of intellectuals and health advocates swear by the regular use of Gerovital to promote health and well being.

Gerovital is widely available in most herbal and health stores. Individuals who take GH-3 use it for a variety of purposes ranging from its sleep inducing properties, its anti anxiety properties, and for its ability to increase concentration and improve span. GH-3 supplements should be taken once a day, on an empty stomach. Side effects are mild, and can be eliminated by reducing or stopping the intake of Gerovital for a few days.
